Hi Karen My friend,...just wanted to share something that I know means a lot to us songwriters. A friend of ours went to her mom's funeral in Delhart, Texas and was looking frantically for her copy of your cd, specifically the song "On Angel's Wings." She had forgotten to pack it and wanted very much to have it played during the service. Lo and BEHOLD!! The funeral director's wife had a copy! All these things happen sometimes without us even knowing how we touch people's lives. Hope you're doing better now. Love be with you......(Robert in New Mexico)

Hi Karen, I was doing some "surfin'" and ran across your site. I've not spoken or seen you in about 30 years but we worked together at Tanner in Memphis. I was one of your recording engineers for the vocal group. It was good to see and read about you. I would love to talk to you and catch up. I hope you will use this e-mail address and get in touch. Friends, Mark Goodman

Hello Karen, My sister came up missing September 10, 1993, and still nothing after all these years. I am making a Tribute DVD to my sister, and wanted to get permission to use the song "Precioius Child" for the picture slideshow. I also going to make a music ***** for the song "Angela" that I wrote back when I was 15 years old. Angela was 17 when she came missing, and I was 14 at the time. Just email me at nefreeman24@yahoo.com, for more information

I have heard, cried to, and sang along with your songs on the radio but never knew your name until I got the accompaniment cd to Collin Tipping's book. I listen to the songs on there over and over. I am just finding my singing voice again after years of ignoring my spirit's need to sing. I would love to get a copy of the sheet music and/or the accompaniment to 'Justice to Mercy'. Please let me know if these can be obtained. Thanks for being a role for me. It's obvious that you take the risk to express your authentic self. What a gift to yourself and the rest of the world. Sincerely, Charolette cgoffks@hotmail.com

Dear Karen, Thank you so much for the gift of your beautiful songs. They tell of real-life and their haunting melodies often move me to tears. Your song 'How Can I Help You Say Goodbye'reminds me of my late mother each time I hear it. Please do a tour of the UK if at all possible. God bless you.

Hi Karen, It's been a long time since I've seen you, it's me Buddy from Florida/Nashvile and now Florida again. Hope all is well with you. My Mom and I still keep in touch with Brenda. I still have my old Florida tag with your name on it, on my wall. My dad passed away about 3 years ago and I have moved in to a condo with my Mom here if Ft. Myers to help her out, since she doesn't drive. One day maybe we'll be able to meet up again. If you are ever down in Southwest Florida, let me know. It would be so nice to see you again. Love, Buddy

I'm so grateful to have found your website. I spoke with Cathy Robel this morning about your music, as she sang one of your pieces at church. I saw you in concert several years ago and had a tape, and lost it. Now I can replace it with a CD and listen to your inspirational voice again. Thanks! Cheryl Ryder, Melrose Park, IL

Hi- I want to say thankyou for the autographed copy of the "ON ANGELS WINGS " cd. My sister got it for me at the L.E.C. center you visited in Portland oregon. My mother had alzheimers for 13 years. The song you wrote helped get us to a point where we could accept it. I just wanted you to know it made a difference. All the best life has to give Bob

Hi Karen, I found your site through Atlanta Unity info, and while browsing your site I read your message. I just wanted to comment on your epiphany concerning letting your higher power handle at least some of the more challenging life situations/problems ;-) The peace that comes with the release of all that responsibility and anxiety is truly awesome, isn't it? Possessing an artist's spirit myself, I know as I'm sure you do, that passion and emotion often drive artist's lives. I have always struggled a bit (maybe more than a bit, with all that passion and emotion rolling around) in retaining the value of staying close to my higher power daily. As I would drift away from that daily contact, my anxiety level and dysfunction would increase accordingly. My creative self seemed to need some grounding to remain a healthy part of the whole. Through my life journey I have felt true elation and true despair and my creativity has seemed to reflect those feelings. Actually, anytime I would try to stiffle my true God driven creative urges, chaos would begin to enter my life in some way. I believe that creative minds (artists, scientists, writers, etc.) will often begin "acting out" in unhealthy ways if they are not allowed to create or don't allow ideas to manifest. The challenge has been to allow this openly creative spirit to flourish while remaining present with healthy daily life. I guess I am long winded here, because I am coming out of the most difficult 3 years of my life, and I find myself - once again - revisiting the revelation (as you have) that these problems are too big for me to handle alone. I am truly healthy only when I allow the triune of mind, body, and spirit to be directly affected and integrated by my higher power. My higher power always does such a good (and loving) job of it, too. I don't know why my memory is so short when such big "stuff" is on the line. In the end, I find myself just feeling very grateful for the wonderful people and experiences that God puts into my life just when I need them the most - healthy friends, family, 12-Step groups, nature, music, woodworking, epiphany, my inner drive to create, and most of all, Love. These people, groups, or experiences seem to give me the nudge to "get out of myself" ocassionally and ground myself - to stay whole - to be present, and creative. God's Blessing to you, Karen, David Howell Lithia Springs, GA davehowell@bellsouth.net
