“How Can I Help You Say Goodbye”……Karen’s Grammy-nominated song about
change, and loss. “Life’s about changing, nothing ever stays the same” is a
perfect homage to Hospice workers, for they are the real-life angels who
make it their life’s work to help us say goodbye.
- GONE FROM MY SIGHT
“Gone From My Sight”…..a beautiful song based on the poem (written in
1898 by Henry Van Dyke). It explains how our loved ones, like the ship we
watch leave the harbor, are not really gone, but are simply gone from our
sight.

ANGELS IN DISGUISE
“Angels in Disguise”….Karen wrote this song for the amazing
caregivers who cared for her father in the last years of his life. It honors
everyone in a caregiving profession or position…for they truly are angels on
this earth.
- HEALING IN THE HANDS OF TIME
“Healing In The Hands of Time”….. This song honors one of God’s most
powerful healing angels…the one who has proven over and over again what an
amazing healer it is….and that angel is….Time.
- ON ANGEL’S WINGS
“On Angel’s Wings”… Karen wrote this song as a way of finding hope
and healing for herself, while dealing with her Mother’s
Alzheimer’s/dementia.
- UNTIL I’M STRONG AGAIN
“Until I’m Strong Again”… It can be exhausting, and frustrating to
deal with people in the throes of a debilitating disease. This is the
perfect song to cry to at the end of a rough day.
- WHEN YOU SAY YOUR PRAYERS
“When You Say Your Prayers”… A gentle and loving reminder that we are
not alone during these difficult situations.
- I’M NOT THAT POWERFUL
“I’m Not That Powerful” ….. This is a wonderful, upbeat song for a
caregiver…or for anyone who thinks they can “fix” their loved ones. It
reminds us that we are just NOT that powerful!
- YOU CAN’T HURT ME NOW
“You Can’t Hurt Me Now”….. This is an empowering song for anyone who
is a survivor…who has overcome the tyranny of another person, an addiction,
or even a disease...someone who has “stared their demons down” and come out
even stronger.
- 11TH COMMANDMENT
“The 11th Commandment”…. A powerful song about child abuse. It was
written by Karen and her friend and co-writer Lisa Aschmann to help to break
the silence surrounding child abuse….for it is the silence that gives it
power.
- KINDER
“Kinder”….. This song addresses bullying. It was written by Karen and
her friend and co-writer Jason Blume, and largely based on their own
histories.
- LIGHTEN UP!
“Lighten Up!”…. This is a great, uptempo fun song for all of us who
tend to take life and ourselves too seriously! You know why angels can fly,
right? Because they’ve learned to take themselves lightly!!
